PRISM
PRISM ONE
PRISM TWO
prismatic (adjective): relating to or having the form of a prism or prisms (of colours) formed, separated, or distributed by or as if by an optical prism - "a flash of prismatic light on the edge of the glass"
Have you ever looked deeply into a prism? A slight tilt of the head or a minor change in light can alter the colors of the glass and reflection quite a bit. Chandeliers, faceted glass, and crystal can display quite an aray of intricate colors and patterns. Depending on the time of day, or the surrounding environment, the same objects can portray different moods and color schemes. There can be a kaleidoscope effect if you look hard at these beautiful pieces of glass. After a hard day of work, I will visit a local establishment and sit at the bar or a table. Whether with company or alone, between bites and sips there is always something that catches my eye. I tend to study many fractured objects. This series, Prismatic, is based on these types of subjects and how they entertain me in moments of silence.
